STOODY® VANCAR® -O 1/16" Dia Hard Facing MIG Welding Wire comes in a 50 lb polypak and is a tubular open arc wire which results in a deposit containing vanadium and tungsten carbide. Welding wire is ideal for ripper shanks, dry cement pump screws, shovel buckets and teeth, mill hammers and pug mill knives. It includes vanadium carbide particles which dissolve during the welding operation and then reform in the deposit, providing an even distribution. It can be used in hot wear applications up to 900 deg F and the wear resistance of vanadium carbide is greater than that of chromium carbide but less than that of tungsten carbide.
