Plastic template for assembly and painting, glue and paint not included. The Douglas Skyraider was made immediately after World War II. Despite its traditional piston engine, which was born when the first jets were already spreading, the Skyraider has had an operational longevity. The first flight was made in 1945 and was withdrawn from active service only in 1975. It has participated in numerous conflicts proving its validity in Korea and Vietnam. Featuring great maneuverability at low speed, it was capable of carrying an impressive war load of more than 3.5kg. Optimized for ground attack missions, it was equipped with robust armor to minimize damage from enemy fire from the ground. The Skyrider A-1H, thanks to its powerful 2,700 HP radial engine, could fly at 322 mph and carry a wide variety of armaments. It was also armed with 4 20mm guns.
